Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Program

of Cancer Research
The department is actively involved in research in the areas
of cancer biology. The focus of the PhD program (affiliated
to University of Kerala) is on research training with a high
degree of specialization. The aim of such training is to make
our PhD students very competent in their respective areas,
so that they may be able to take up teaching or research and
development professions.
Requirements
The candidate should possess first class master’s degree
in Biotechnology, Life Science and allied areas.
Applicants must have a valid research fellowship from NET/ICMR/DBT
or other recognized funding agencies.
The residence requirement for PhD program is a minimum of
three years after the registration and may be extended up
to five years.
Mode of selection
Applications will be invited as and when new projects are available and depending on the vacancies.
Selection will be on the basis of performance in a Written
test / Interview.
Pre-registration Assessment
Pre-doctoral seminars will be conducted and only the successful
candidates are permitted to registration.
